Today started out leisurely enough. We slept in on the bus
until all the kids woke up around 7:30. It was a bit cold once we
got out of bed, but it was still noticeably warmer in the bus than it
was outside. A testament to all of the insulation that we have put
in to keep the outside temperature from creeping inside. The
first sleep over was a lot of fun.
Becky took a trip to the nearest coffee shop and we sat around and
talked about the evenings events. Both of us felt very happy with
the bus and thankful that we had put the toilet in... Flushing was
accomplished with a scoop of water from a nearby tub. Late night
lighting was taken care of with a couple of battery operated "Touch
Lights" that we screwed to the wall in the hallway and bathroom.

We managed to get some amount of work done today. Most of
it was spent figuring out all of the cuts to finish off the
upper half of the wall in the kids room.
There were a dozen or so measurements taken, various trips
back and forth to the jig saw, and finally, we had a single
piece of plywood sheeting that fit in place and finished off the
difficult part of the bedroom in the back.
Becky and I used the finished piece to trace the opposite
side so we wouldn't have to spend an hour on it... We
saved that piece for tomorrow.

The girls wanted to see the bedroom door that we had collected
from the trailer, so we had to hang it (even if it is temporary)
so that they could play...

The final work of the day was a temporary plumbing
job on the toilet. I was tired of hauling in the tub of
water every day, so I picked up a hose adapter and hooked the
garden hose to the back of the toilet.
Everyone is very happy with the flush toilet now. There
were no leaks and as soon as I am done sheeting the inside shell
of the bus, I will get the gray water hooked up and finish the
plumbing to the shower.
We all took turns flushing the toilet and then Becky and I
hooked up our new septic hose and dumped the black water tank
down the RV hookup. No problems.
