I spent quite a bit of time under the bus working to extend the
drain line from the black water tank... I actually spent
so much time under the bus that I couldn't get back out from
under it. The air bags deflated so much that Becky had to
start the bus with me under it to re-inflate the air bags enough
so I could crawl out.
Not only is it a bit cramped under the bus, but being under
the section with the Black water tank that is not yet vented
properly was not something I care to repeat. It was a
horrible job. There's nothing good I have to say about
working on the black water tank.
I found out that "flushable wipes" do not break
down in the tank like toilet paper does. They were all
clogging the tank (and make a great dam by the way... We
had a quick discussion with the girls and all of us agreed not
to flush them at the bus anymore.
I did get the drain pipe extended (note the clean section of
pipe between the gate valve and the black water tank). I
recommend to anyone converting a bus to get the black water tank
and toilet assembly completely finished before using it.
It is not a job for the squeamish once it has been used...
Enough said.
