March 8th 2004
It's early in the morning and I'm drinking a cup of coffee in the
bus. The past few days have been tough and I haven't had the time
or energy to get the web site updated...
We thought that we were pretty much done moving out of the house and
ready to hit the road, but it turns out that we still have too much
stuff left over to pack with us. Most of the stuff is left over
from our huge garage sale from a couple of weeks ago, but some of it is
just extra stuff that seemed important to us and now is just taking up
space. Becky asked her mom if she would be willing to take our
trailer filled up with all of the things that we can't take with us and
it sounds like she's willing to help us get rid of it all so we can get
on the road ASAP.
It's been a whirlwind of minor building projects trying to get the
bus roadworthy. Yesterday we finally took the bus out of the
storage unit and gave it a good wash. It was covered with sawdust
from all the construction and dirt left over from the trip to
Quartzsite. It looks a lot better now...
Today we hope to get all of the tools and left over construction
debris out of the storage unit so we can get our deposit back and
concentrate on the last few things left in the house. My best
guess is that we'll be able to head out for Arizona on Wednesday
morning. We're all so ready to leave... |
