There is so much to get done before we head out for Quartzsite.
Today was a big day...
The house batteries had to be moved to a more
permanent home than on the floor in the living area, so first
thing that needed to happen was to cut a hole in the side of the
bus so I could get the batteries in their permanent home.
I took a couple of measurements and went to work with the
grinder, jigsaw and Sawzall. In about 20 minutes we had
access to the compartment that I planned for the location of the
house batteries.
It might have been a bit of overkill, but I know
how heavy the batteries are and wanted to make sure that if
Becky decides to take the bus off road that the batteries won't
fall through the floor <grin>
A plywood sheet the same size as the supports, and
1 x 2's along the sides and back to keep the batteries from
sliding around while in transit.
A beautiful sight! 8 Trojan T105
batteries. Snug as a bug. They fit perfectly - this
could not have been planned better.
...And the spaghetti of wires that makes the magic
of electricity a reality!
