I stopped by the RV supply place to have them check out the remote
control for the inverter/charger. It turns out that the remote I
had would not power up for them either. They exchanged it for one
that worked on the test unit, so hopefully when I get out to the bus
tomorrow we'll be able to turn back on the electricity to the bus and
get the batteries charged back up.
We had to take a short trip (about 2 hours north) to deal with a
couple of investment accounts that I have. We got hit by a snow
storm as we were about 15 minutes from our destination. We paid a
very brief visit and then got back on the highway and managed to beat
the storm front back to Eugene. About 1 hour or so after we got
home the storm hit our area too...
We bundled up for the night and decided not to risk going to the bus
and getting stuck there over night. The roads were horrible
already and with the new hail and freezing rain it was getting too slick
to drive around in safely.

Erika decided that she was tired of not being able
to bite into foods with her now VERY loose tooth, so she asked
me to help her pull it out.
With only a couple of tries using just my fingers I managed
to get it pulled out for her without any pain at all. She
was VERY excited and asked me to take a picture, so I can't help
but post it here for everyone to see <grin>.
Now Emily is excited and wants her teeth to get loose
too... It's given us some leverage to get her to eat more
<laughing>. We'll see how long we can milk this one.

That's about it. We'll see what the weather brings for us
tomorrow. I doubt that we'll be able to get the bus to the hitch
installer even if it doesn't snow all night... |
