Follow Our Progress

February 7th 2004
We've been busy working on getting all of our things together at the
house. There's a lot to take care of before we say goodbye to
Oregon.
We did manage to make it out to the bus for a little while...

It's not much to look at, but I don't think we
posted a picture of some of the work my brother and I did when
we were in California.
Just before arriving at their house, the washing machine took
a dive off of a makeshift shelf that Becky and I had thrown
together in Quartzsite. It dented up the front of the
washer and smashed up Becky's very expensive sewing machine in
the process.
My brother and I built some shelving to hold the washing
machine in place and also made a spot for all of my tools for
the trip back home. |

Today Becky and I worked on getting some of the
cabinet fronts in place. We decided to go ahead and put a
full sheet of MDF in place and then cut out the openings for the
cabinet doors & drawers. It may be a bit of a strange
way to do it, but it allows us the most flexibility. |
It's nice not to have to put away all of the tools and to be able to
store all of the supplies outside of the bus. We just shut off all
of the lights and locked the garage door when we left for the day. |
