We're almost done getting everything sold and/or moved into
storage. My parents collected some things to store at their house
while we're traveling and looking for another place to call home.
We haven't spent a lot of time working on the bus because of all the
work involved in getting out of our house and ready to move into the
bus. I've also been through hell with my laptop and have been
unable to connect to the internet for about a week or so now... I
hate Microsoft's horrible software development practices. I
understand now why 90% of the viruses out there are written for the
Windows family of OS's - Microsoft only fixes the problems with their
software after someone finds a bug. It's a horrible way to
"test" software and has now cost me over 30 hours of my time
just to get my laptop back to the point where I can connect to the
internet. It will be a few more days I think before I can get
photos from my camera uploaded and get the site back up to date...
I'm going to start working on a Linux machine. This is the second
re-build in 3 months that I have had to do because of Microsoft's lack
of forethought.
I'll try to get something posted about our adventure ASAP!
If you were a member of our Bus Adventure Mailing List, please e-mail
us (busnuts@virtualplacebo.com) again with your e-mail
addresses. We lost all of our distribution lists (related to
Microsoft Outlook) with this last computer crash and can't recover
the addresses from our backup of the file system for some reason.
