Follow Our Progress

December 26th
2003
We spent quite a bit of the day driving around looking for
supplies. Every store that we went to was closed a second day for
Christmas, so we didn't get what we needed.
 |
I bet you can't guess where I spent this evening...
For those of you thinking about doing a conversion like this,
be prepared to spend quite a bit of time in this position.
I worked on getting the last of the fresh water plumbing done
so I could hook up the tank and pump.
|
 |
We did manage to get the fresh water tank installed after a
bit of drilling for the drain.
We decided to mount the pump next to the tank so that it
wouldn't have to pull the water up any distance.
|
 |
Inside the bus we hooked up the fill and vent tubes and ran
them through the floor to the tank underneath.
|
 |
It was dark by the time I finished hooking everything up, but
I managed to get a shot of the pump.
|
 |
While I worked on the tank, Becky cut and assembled some of
the carpet that we got for free.
It's going to be a patchwork job to some degree, but it's
only temporary. We'll get some new carpet later when we
have more time to dedicate to decorating.
|
Tomorrow I have to concentrate on getting the gas hooked back
up. Once the propane tanks are in place we only have to get the
gray water tank and canopy attached for us to be mobile again. |
