The weather has not been very cooperative. We've been
experiencing high winds (25-30 miles per hour) with gusts in excess of
50 miles per hour. It's not the kind of weather for painting a
bus...
The winds took the kids swimming pool for a ride. Even though
it had over 30 gallons of water in it, the winds managed to flip the
pool over and then take it flying about 100 yards or so. It's not
much of a pool anymore. The fence and bushes that it snagged on
ripped it up pretty bad, so we'll have to get a replacement at some
point.
With all of the wind, the dust has been horrible. We managed to
cut it down some by covering the windows and door with some
sheets. That kept the dust from going everywhere in the bus, but
we still have quite a layer of it on everything.
Since there wasn't anything we could do outside, we went for a drive
in search of some property near Sierra Vista that we might want to
purchase. We stopped in at Tombstone and checked out one of the realtors
there. It looks like there may be a piece of property in our price
range just south of Sierra Vista. We're planning to check it out
tomorrow to see what it looks like. If it meets our approval,
we'll make an offer. The property would give us a place to store
the bus while we do some long distance traveling this summer where we
don't want to haul everything with us. I'll try to get some
pictures of the property and post them here tomorrow evening. |
